Welcome to the August Heat issue
While the rest of the market is taking a vacation, the resource sector is turning up the temperature. The heat is on, for those paying attention.
This month, we’re cutting through the summer slowdown to focus on catalysts driving the next leg of the cycle. With gold making decisive moves and copper staring down deficits, the fundamental case builds. Majors are hungry for ounces in safe jurisdictions.
The crowd may be distracted, but you know where to look.
Let’s dive into the updates!

BROKER TALK
Hmm

Something is very wrong
I don’t know about you, but I have to admit I’ve been experiencing this inherent feeling that something is very wrong with what’s happening in Canada. I look around at the people at our local pub enjoying a $4 Local lager while trying to get the group to do some critical thinking and I see everyone enjoying themselves, seemingly without a care in the world. The geopolitical strife happening in places like the U.K. and Ireland are not
even a thought. Cause, that can’t happen here.
But it is. Slowly, but surely, what is happening over there is going to happen here. Our freedoms and rights are slowing being taken away in the guise of public safely when it fact it’s all about control. Immigration has become an open border policy; our healthcare system is in shambles, and the two-tier justice system is in place. And yet, what do you hear? Crickets. The bought and paid for mainstream media won’t let you hear anything about the sinking ship called Canada.
It seems like common sense has been bred out of people over the last 20 years. People have lost the ability for independent thought. Is it because they don’t care or they just can’t?
I think back to the covid days where they had people in elevators stand with their faces in the corner. The markings on where to stand were actually on the elevator floor. Or, you are in a restaurant and could pull your mask down to take a bite but then pull it back up. The public were played. And, played hard. Anyone watching Fauci testimony? Oh wait, you can’t because the “brilliant scientist” who followed the science takes the 5th on every question. It’s disgusting that he’s been pardoned and it’s embarrassing that we followed him like sheep. Where’s Teresa Tam by the way?
Unfortunately, it’s going to get worse. Much worse before it gets better if that’s possible. I thought Alberta, and possibly Saskatchewan might be the last stand of hope, but Premier Smith seems to be buckling for some reason. And the Canada First crowd seem more interested in stifling Alberta’s rights than they are about the corrupt federal government. Again, sheep. Alberta, bless her heart will continue to fight.

Hate to be a downer but if you see any bright spots just let Raj know and he can pass it along. Don’t hold any of these opinions against him. He values free speech as should everyone.

More than eternal vigilance, timely action is the price of freedom
Many millenia later Liber, the Roman god of viticulture and freedom, was crucial to the success of grape harvests and the production of wine. The Liberalia celebrated his influence with rituals and festivities that underscored the joy and freedom that wine could bring.
